The ASU Career Launchpad is your exclusive member-only professional development webinars designed to help you take the next step in your career. 

We are now opening registrations for our courses that are running September to November. These courses are live and interactive with presenters who are experts in their field. Stepping Up - Navigating your own Career

Planning the next steps in your career is very important, and if you have a plan, you are more likely to achieve your career goals. This program will take you through some of the key approaches to career management, and get you thinking about how to take the next steps in your career.

In this live and interactive workshop you will go through:

  • Where you are now and where you want to be
  • Identifying your individual strengths and areas of development
  • How to work out what roles would suit you
  • Insider information on how recruitment and selection processes work
  • What steps you need to take to get that next opportunity

Stepping up to Leadership

This program will introduce you to some of the fundamental skills needed to be an effective workplace leader. It is designed for those aspiring to become workplace leaders in the future and those who have recently moved into a leadership position.

In this live and interactive workshop you will go through:

  • Where you are now and where you want to be
  • The foundations of the role of supervisor or team leader – what does a good team leader look like?
  • What is the difference between leadership and management?
  • Leading and communicating with others – providing feedback and having difficult conversations
  • Managing conflict in the workplace

Managing Conflict and Handling Difficult Conversations

This program is designed for those seeking to understand managing conflict within the workplace further & handling difficult conversations more effectively.

We will cover a number of typical workplace scenarios including managing others, working with peers/colleagues, communicating upwards and communicating & collaborating across teams

In this live and interactive webinar, you will go through:

  • What is workplace conflict?
  • Common causes of misunderstanding and conflict at work
  • Self-awareness and what happens to us when we perceive conflict
  • Strategies for managing misunderstandings, conflict, and challenging conversations
  • Understanding ways to “switch off” and “let go”.
