ASU Scholarship
The ASU Scholarship is offered to students who have completed year 10 to assist them with education costs in the years 11 and 12 (state schools or independent). The scholarship provides $200 for each of two years and is awarded at the commencement of year 11. The applicants must be 17 years of age or younger on the 31st December in the year that the award is won.
Godfrey Wignall Scholarship
The Godfrey Wignall Scholarship is for $500 to assist with the scholarship winner's tertiary education. This prize is awarded to the applicant who has achieved the highest TEE result in 2007.
To be eligible for either of these scholarships, the applicant must be the child of a financial member of our union and not in receipt of any other scholarship.
If your child has been studying hard this year and deserves some recognition, we encourage them to apply for these ASU scholarships.
David Taylor Memorial Award
The ASU has also established the David Taylor Memorial Award in memory of the former long serving ASU WA Branch President, who passed away in April 2007.
Contributions of up to $1,000 will be made available each year to support young people (16-30 years) to participate in a work experience program with the ASU, to support attendance at a Conference or to create some other project to encourage young people to be involved with their union.
