A day of solidarity and celebration
In January 2008 we finalised two Union Collective Agreements (UCA) at the City of Albany; one for the depot workers and one for the local government officers.
Our members recently came together on a weekend (braving the usual chilly Albany weather), with families in tow, to celebrate the improvements won by the negotiations and finalisation of the UCA.

Our members recently came together on a weekend (braving the usual chilly Albany weather), with families in tow, to celebrate the improvements won by the negotiations and finalisation of the UCA.
Our Union put on a BBQ and soft drink for the kids and ASU delegate, Steve Arnold (Southern Skirmish) provided an afternoon of laser tag for everyone.
Ten of our Municipal Employee members and ten of our Local Government Officer members were formally recognised for their efforts during the successful campaigns.
Well done to all of our members at the City of Albany. It was a great campaign that achieved great outcomes for all. Once again ASU members demonstrated that they can win decent outcomes when they work together and support one another.
