The ACTU Indigenous Committee assists the ACTU Executive and its affiliates address the important issues of Indigenous employment and social justice issues affecting the lives of Indigenous peoples. The committee provides culturally appropriate and accountable leadership, support and advice to unions. It is also responsible for devising strategies to improve representation and rights, in the workplace and society, for Indigenous peoples.

Currently the Indigenous Committee is made up of 7 nominated representatives:
- Wayne Costelloe (Australian Education Union)
- Adam Frogley (National Tertiary Education Union – National Office)
- Diat Callope (Independent Education Union)
- Jo Kerr (Community & Public Sector Union)
- Kevin Tory (Australian Services Union)
- Terry Mason (National Tertiary Education Union)
- Charline Emzin Boyd (NSW Teachers Federation)
